XPeng (XPEV) has enlisted JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley to orchestrate an initial public offering for its flying car subsidiary, Aridge, in Hong Kong. The confidential filing, targeting a potential 2026 debut, signals accelerating momentum in low-altitude mobility markets.

Aridge secured $250 million in Series B funding last July and operates a sprawling 120,000-square-meter production facility in Guangzhou. The division recently unveiled its A868 model—a hybrid-electric flying car boasting 500-kilometer range—with deliveries commencing this year.

The rebranded entity (formerly XPeng Aeroht) reflects Chairman He Xiaopeng's strategic pivot toward aerial innovation. Regulatory approvals for test flights of earlier models, like the autonomous Aeroht X2 drone, demonstrate China's progressive stance on urban air mobility.
